Inverter-based OTA A basic operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) based on an inverter, named OTA-A, is shown in Fig. 1. In a simple inverter consisting of NMOS and PMOS transistors, the aspect ratio of the PMOS transistors is typically chosen to be 4 times that of the NMOS transistors to compensate for the difference in charge mobility .
This is mainly due to the increased Gm of amplifiers; from g m1 for CSA to g m1 + g m2 for INV-As. In addition, the unity-gain frequency (UGF) is increased, as well. Remarkably, the proposed amplifier experienced much more enhancement in the UGF compared to the conventional inverter-amplifiers.
Conclusion This paper introduces an inverter-based OTA designed in a 65 nm CMOS technology, showcasing exceptionally low power consumption and an extremely low supply voltage. In this OTA, we employ transistor arrays to equalize the mobility of NMOS and PMOS free carriers.
The forward body-biased current stabilized inverter-amplifier is presented in this letter. The performance of the proposed amplifier is compared with that's of the conventional ones. The amplifiers are designed using TSMC 180 nm technology and the Spectre simulations are conducted to validate the results.
