An integrated wind, solar, and energy storage (IWSES) plant has a far better generation profile than standalone wind or solar plants. It results in better use of the transmission evacuation system, which, in turn, provides a lower overall plant cost compared to standalone wind and solar plants of the same generating capacity.
One approach is the integrated wind and solar system, where wind turbines and solar panels are interconnected within a single power generation system. This configuration enables streamlined operation, shared infrastructure, and efficient utilization of grid connections.

Abstract: Colocating wind and solar generation with battery energy storage is a concept garnering much attention lately. An integrated wind, solar, and energy storage (IWSES) plant has a far better generation profile than standalone wind or solar plants.
The combined power generation system is equipped with an electric heating device for the CSP station, which can store the excess capacity in the form of heat energy in the heat storage system when the wind power output is excessive, so as to reduce the system curtailment rate of wind and light .
