Abstract: The rapid growth of electric vehicles (EVs) and renewable energy sources (RES) such as solar photovoltaic (PV) systems has led to an increasing interest in integrating these technologies for sustainable transportation. This paper presents a 10 kW Solar PV-assisted EV charging architecture with vehicle-to-grid support.
Our simulations indicate that solar power, when integrated effectively with battery storage, can meet a significant portion of EV charging demands. At midday, when solar irradiance peaks, the system achieves near-100% solar utilization for EV charging needs.
