Additionally, diesel generators serve as backup power sources, providing necessary power support during extreme weather conditions or when the energy storage system is insufficient, thus ensuring the continuity of power supply. The system's significant mobility and reusability allow it to respond to various emergencies and temporary needs flexibly.
The energy storage system includes PCS, battery systems, electrical systems, etc. The mainstream battery types are lead-carbon and lithium batteries, with a lifespan of about 10 years. Based on current data, the LCOE for the energy storage system is about 0.4 RMB/kWh.
The basic configuration of the solar-storage-diesel integrated system includes a microgrid-integrated machine, distributed photovoltaic power generation components, and a microgrid management platform. The microgrid-integrated machine has a rated charge/discharge power of 30KW and 60KW, with a long-term overload capability of 110%.
Since diesel generators need to run continuously and cannot operate at low power for long periods, and to ensure grid stability, this type of microgrid has a relatively low renewable energy penetration rate. This system includes solar, storage, and diesel power, with diesel generators as the main power source.
The solar-storage-diesel system utilizes peak-valley electricity price differences, charging during low-price periods and discharging during peak periods, significantly saving electricity costs. Additionally, reducing diesel generator usage also lowers fuel consumption and maintenance costs.
The procurement cost of diesel generators is generally around 2000 RMB/kW, with fuel consumption (L/h) = generator capacity (kW) * 0.25 (L/kW.h), i.e., 0.25L of diesel is consumed per kWh of electricity generated. Diesel generator operation and maintenance costs include two aspects:
